axol.io is a blockchain infrastructure lab building open security infrastructure for Ethereum. The team is four people: two former Blockdaemon node operators, a former DOJ Financial Intelligence and FBI AML analyst, and an active Immunefi whitehat.

We maintain six things:

1. Mana, an Ethereum execution client written from scratch in Elixir (Apache 2.0 plus MIT).
2. A ZK compliance standard authored as an ERC draft, CC BY-SA, with a reference implementation in Noir and TypeScript.
3. Open cryptographic primitives composing ERC-5564 stealth addresses with ERC-4337 account abstraction and paymaster sponsorship, MIT licensed.
4. PXE Bridge, an L1 to Aztec Private Execution Environment bridge for shielded settlement.
5. Raxol, an MIT Elixir framework for autonomous agent payments (x402 plus machine-to-machine routing).
6. Whitehat vulnerability research across production Ethereum protocols.

We also build and operate Xochi (xochi.fi), a private execution venue settling on Ethereum L1 with cross-chain execution across Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, and Polygon. Xochi is the product. The security infrastructure under it is the public good. Same labs / protocol split as Uniswap Labs / Uniswap Protocol or Offchain Labs / Arbitrum. The product funds the labs. Grants accelerate the labs work independent of product traction.

Privacy without compliance gets you sanctioned, compliance without privacy is oppressive and lame. Users never stopped wanting privacy. They moved to unregulated alternatives with no accountability at all. The ecosystem lost the middle ground.

Xochi's ZK-Compliance Oracle is our attempt to build that middle ground; proving compliance to regulators without revealing transaction data. Eight proof types, formalized as an ERC draft, CC0 licensed. Any protocol can use it.
