js-libp2p is the JavaScript/TypeScript implementation of libp2p, providing a modular peer-to-peer networking stack that underpins Helia and enables IPFS/Filecoin-connected applications across Node.js and browser environments. The project will strengthen core connectivity by assuming long-term maintenance of critical stream multiplexing and secure transport components and by delivering an updated WebRTC-Direct specification and implementation so browsers can reliably dial public libp2p nodes. This work supports developers building gateway-independent, client-side Web3 applications that depend on robust P2P networking for content-addressed data exchange.
